• Help us Spread the Harvest

The Food is Free Project is growing as fast as those veggies in your front yard! Food is Free gardens are popping up in cities around the globe and we have many exciting new projects on the horizon. The first five sister branches of Food is Free are already starting in San Marcos, El Paso, Reno, Tasmania and Oahu!

We’re creating a model for how to grow food in the city with your neighbors. By sharing our success and failures, we have inspired many like-minded projects to blossom. Food is Free works to inspire and empower you to find your passion and share it with your community.

This fall Food is Free is starting a Youth Outreach Program. We will be building gardens and teaching interactive workshops in schools where the majority of the children participate in the free or reduced meals program. We strongly believe that if we share our passion for growing food and community with kids, we will change the world, together.

It is because of our supporters that we have been able to make all of this happen. We need your continued support to keep growing. That is why for the next 2 weeks the Spread the Harvest Campaign will allow you to become a monthly contributor to the Food is Free Project.

Our goal is to reach 50 monthly donors by the end of our campaign. Help us reach our goal by Growing a Garden, Creating a Food Forest, or even Planting a Seed! All monthly sponsors this week will be entered to win a garden in a place of their choosing. All sponsors at the Food Forest level will receive a Food is Free t-shirt during the campaign!
