• Open Source Community Garden – Phase 2!

The Open Source Community Garden is well on it’s way to becoming a wonderland! We pulled back the fence, installed 4 wicking bed gardens on the curb, put up a greenhouse to start free seedlings for the garden and neighbors, and set up a community picnic table and hammock for passersby to enjoy.

This weekend, we’ll be gearing up the next phase of the community space:

    • Setting up community composting bins out of wooden pallets
    • Revamping and reinforcing the greenhouse
    • Setting up and decorating a 55-gallon barrel wicking planter demo
    • Starting seedlings to give away
    • Making and decorating signage for the beautiful space.
    • Playing with the baby chickens

So many folks are slowing down as they drive by, taking notice. That’s what I find so cool about curbside gardens, not only do they peak peoples’ interest in growing and gardening, but they make our neighborhoods safer and more сплит-система в витебской области beautiful
