In just four short weeks, we will be kicking off our initiative to transform a full block in Austin from a food desert to a food forest.

The first work party will tackle some fundamental projects to the success of this transformation.

First, we will be finalizing the transformation of a two car garage into a workshop for the North Austin Food is Free hub.

Next, we will create and install a street side bulletin board on our block from recycled and reclaimed materials.

We will also be building out frames for future food is free garden plots so we can line the street in one day…like ninjas!
